About the Author

David Dean Menzies published his debut novel "OBX" in July 2014, the first in the Michael Francis Mysteries series. The action-packed story follows Francis, an agent for the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and troubled mother of three, as she investigates a politically charged murder in the seaside vacation mecca of the Outer Banks. With a hurricane bearing down on the crime scene, Agent Francis battles nefarious forces more dangerous than mother nature herself, while dealing with her failing marriage and unexpected romantic overtures.

Menzies is currently working on another fiction novel while continuing to run an active public relations consultancy based in the tech-heavy Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina. He lives in Apex, NC -- "The Peak of Good Living" according to local water tower signage -- with his wife of 22 years and is the father of two outstanding young men, one about to enter his senior year in high school and the other a cadet at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.

In addition to supporting all branches of the military (especially the US Air Force), Menzies is a fan of the six-time Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers and 2006 Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes and is currently developing a reality series celebrating America through the prism of minor league baseball.
